Basketball Recap: Central DeWitt Triumphs

Central DeWitt hadn't done well against North Scott recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Central DeWitt snuck past the North Scott Lancers with a 74-68 win. This was a revenge game for Central DeWitt: when they faced off against North Scott back in January, they had to take a 73-60 defeat.

Central DeWitt is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points over those games. As for North Scott, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Coming up, Central DeWitt will head out on the road to challenge Bettendorf at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central DeWitt knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Bettendorf likes a good challenge. North Scott has already played their next contest (against Central Clinton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
