There's no place like home for Meadowbrook, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against the Petersburg Crimson Wave on Wednesday as they made off with a 10-4 victory. The Monarchs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crimson Wave, too.

Devon Harris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over 5.2 innings pitched. Harris was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Nick Vaughan was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Tre Turner was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meadowbrook pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Petersburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Meadowbrook will take on Matoaca at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Petersburg, they will face off against Prince George at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crimson Wave are facing the Royals at the right time seeing as the Royals are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
