There's no place like home for Whiteland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Mooresville Pioneers with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pioneers, too.

Whiteland never let Mooresville on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11, 25-22.

Sophia Dyer paced Whiteland's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dyer got some help from Carrie Ginder and her 21 assists. Ginder and Dyer didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Whiteland's victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. As for Mooresville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Whiteland and Avon will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 8th. As for Mooresville, they will face off against Terre Haute North Vigo at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
