Soccer Game Preview: Interlachen vs. Santa Fe

Interlachen hasn't had much luck against Santa Fe recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Interlachen Rams will face off against the Santa Fe Raiders at 5:30 p.m. Santa Fe took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Interlachen, who comes in off a win.

Interlachen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand North Marion an 8-0 shutout. The contest marked the Rams' most dominant victory of the season.

They hit North Marion with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Paislee Guessford (5), Tinley Guessford (2), and Kylie Frady.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Santa Fe's offense. They lost 8-0 to Buchholz last Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly eight goals.

Santa Fe has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Interlachen, they now have a winning record of 9-8-5.

Interlachen might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Santa Fe when the teams last played back in January of 2019. Can Interlachen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
