Basketball Recap: Roane County Victorious

Roane County won the last time they faced Sweetwater and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Roane County Yellowjackets came out on top against the Sweetwater Wildcats by a score of 52-40.

Sweetwater lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kendall Tyler, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 14 points. That's the most points Tyler has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Woodruff, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Roane County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Sweetwater, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Loudon the next time they take the court. Roane County will head out to face Loudon at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025, while Sweetwater will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
