Basketball Game Preview: Valencia Jaguars vs. Taos Tigers

The Valencia Jaguars and the Taos Tigers will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Valencia ended up a good deal behind Belen and lost 63-47. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Taos duked it out withRobertson on Thursday. Taos lost to Robertson on the road by a 63-46 margin. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Valencia now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Taos, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Valencia might still be hurting after the 60-36 loss they got from Taos when the teams last played back in December of 2021. Can Valencia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
