Basketball Recap: Robinson Takes a Loss

Robinson was the 67-50 winner over Lennard when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Robinson Knights had to suffer through a 66-26 loss at the hands of the Lennard Longhorns. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Robinson lost on Tuesday, don't look at Kevin Hackett. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 7 en route to 14 points and seven boards.

Edgar Delvalle had a dynamite game for Lennard, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Delvalle a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Sykes, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points and five steals.

Robinson has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Lennard, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11.

Robinson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-59 loss against Strawberry Crest on the 30th. As for Lennard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-63 defeat against Steinbrenner on the 30th.
