Soccer Game Preview: Chesapeake vs. South River + Official Tickets

The Chesapeake Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the South River Seahawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Chesapeake came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Broadneck, falling 5-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Chesapeake couldn't push the score so high this time.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times South River and Arundel had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Seahawks' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. That four goal margin sets a new team best for South River this season.

South River's victory bumped their record up to 4-5-1. As for Chesapeake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Chesapeake suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to South River in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
