Football Game Preview: Virginia Episcopal School vs. Covenant

Virginia Episcopal School will be playing at home against Covenant at at 2:00 PM on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Virginia Episcopal School skips in on four wins and Covenant on five.

Everything came up roses for Virginia Episcopal School against Brunswick Academy last Friday as the squad secured a 46-6 win. Senior Aaron Staggers, who rushed for 101 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Virginia Episcopal School's success. Staggers has now scored at least one touchdown in the past four games.

Meanwhile, Covenant faced Kenston Forest in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Covenant were gifted an easy victory as Kenston Forest wound up forfeiting 0-2. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.

Their wins bumped Virginia Episcopal School to 4-0 and Covenant to 5-0. Two forfeits in a row aren't very likely, so Covenant better be ready for a battle.
