Softball Game Preview: Tates Creek Commodores vs. Lexington Catholic Knights

Tates Creek hasn't had much luck against Lexington Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Commodores will host the Knights at 6:30 p.m. Neither Tates Creek nor Lexington Catholic posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Monday just wasn't the day for Tates Creek's offense. They fell 3-0 to Scott County last Monday. The shutout was out of character for the Commodores seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

On the hitting side, Lexington Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Ford, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Ford has posted since back in March.

Lexington Catholic's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Tates Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
