Recap: Wheatley Wildcats vs. Worthing Colts
The Wheatley Wildcats entered their tilt with the Worthing Colts with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Wheatley came out on top against Worthing by a score of 58-51 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wheatley also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Wheatley was led to victory by Autumn Breedlove and Jamie Solomon. Breedlove scored 16 points along with six steals and five assists, while Solomon scored 22 points along with six assists and three steals. Solomon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Da?nasia Parrish was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Wheatley has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season. As for Worthing, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
Wheatley will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Scarborough at 10:00 a.m. Scarborough is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Worthing, they will head out on the road to challenge North Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
