Softball Recap: Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights vs. Hayfield Vikings
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Kenyon-Wanamingo's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Hayfield Vikings on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, Kenyon-Wanamingo's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
For Hayfield's part, they got a great performance from Elaina Masching as she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Jenna Christopherson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Beaver, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Kenyon-Wanamingo's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Hayfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
