Softball Recap: Arlington Starts Season with Win Against Mamaroneck

Arlington had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Mamaroneck Tigers as they made off with a 15-5 victory. The Admirals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Ava Eraca was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Courtney Hillier was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one double.

Arlington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mamaroneck only posted an OBP of .444.

Mamaroneck's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Arlington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-4 win against New Rochelle on the 4th. As for Mamaroneck, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ketcham at 4:30 p.m. on the 10th.
