Basketball Recap: Monroe Township Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

Monroe Township won against East Brunswick last Thursday with 53 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Monroe Township Falcons narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the North Plainfield Canucks 53-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since January 9th.

Monroe Township has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for North Plainfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe Township will head out to challenge Piscataway at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Plainfield, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
