John Paul II took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Patrick Henry Academy Patriots 10-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Golden Warrriors have posted since March 5, 2024.

Stewart Misko made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Dylan Gehm was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ben Solomons, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
John Paul II hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Patrick Henry Academy struck out six times.
Looking ahead, John Paul II will welcome First Baptist School at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Patrick Henry Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Thomas Heyward Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 5th.
