Soccer Recap: Polytechnic Takes a Loss

Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Eagles, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, the Parrots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 608th, while the Eagles are ranked 186th).

Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Polytechnic has already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Western Hills on the 22nd. As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Castleberry on the 22nd.
