Preview: Grace Prep Lions vs. Trinity Christian Eagles
After three games on the road, Grace Prep is heading back home. They will take on the Trinity Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Grace Prep suffered their biggest loss since November 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 66-38 loss at the hands of Lake Country Christian. While losing is never fun, Grace Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while Lake Country Christian is ranked 122nd).
Despite their loss, Grace Prep saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kyley Mclean, who scored six points along with seven rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Jordan, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian ended up a good deal behind Mineral Wells on Tuesday and lost 55-38.
Grace Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Trinity Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
Grace Prep strolled past Trinity Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 58-41. Does Grace Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Trinity Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
