Football Game Preview: Bexley Lions vs. Buckeye Valley Barons

Bexley is 1-6 against Buckeye Valley since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lions will host the Barons at 7:00 p.m.

Bexley is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Franklin Heights on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Lions had to suffer through a 35-7 loss at the hands of the Falcons. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tyler Brown, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Buckeye Valley humbled Whitehall-Yearling with a 35-3 victory. Considering the Barons have won six games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Buckeye Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Bexley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
