Santa Fe had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 5-21 to make it five. They lost 14-0 to the Eldorado Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Saturday.
Santa Fe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Jaramillo, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
As for Eldorado, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-7. Considering they have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
On Eldorado's side, Abram Pine was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, Pine posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brody Hoffman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Cooper Fairhurst was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
As of now, neither Santa Fe nor Eldorado have any future games scheduled.
