Baseball Game Preview: Shelbyville Rams vs. Vandalia Vandals

The Shelbyville Rams will venture away from home to take on the Vandalia Vandals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shelbyville will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Shelbyville barely beat Central A & M the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 24-1 victory on Tuesday. That looming 24-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rams yet this season.

Meanwhile, Vandalia narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lincolnwood 3-1.

Vandalia's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kohnor Depew, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Depew also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

Shelbyville moved to 9-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Vandalia, their record now sits at 4-5.
