Baseball Game Preview: Hampton Talbots vs. Beaver Bobcats

For the second straight game, Hampton will face off against Beaver. The Talbots will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Bobcats at 4:30 p.m.

Hampton played in-conference for the first time on Monday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Beaver, sneaking past 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Talbots.

Zach Virbitsky tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brody Junker, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Eric Carson, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Beaver is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3. As for Hampton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
