Basketball Recap: Greenup County Takes a Loss

Greenup County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Boyd County Lions 95-66. While losing is never fun, the Musketeers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the Lions are ranked 39th).

Greenup County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Boyd County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

Coming up, Greenup County will take on West Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boyd County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions take on the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
