The Peru Tigers will face off against the Wes-Del Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Peru is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Peru will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Wednesday, then bounced right back against South Adams on Friday. Meanwhile, after soaring to 20 runs the game before, Wes-Del was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of Blue River Valley by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since May 6, 2024.

Peru has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wes-Del, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Wes-Del's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Peru hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355.
