Basketball Game Preview: Lawson Cardinals vs. Mid-Buchanan Dragons

Lawson has won three straight games at home, while Mid-Buchanan has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Lawson Cardinals will host the Mid-Buchanan Dragons at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Lawson blew past Penney, posting a 62-29 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Mid-Buchanan got the win against Plattsburg on Friday by a conclusive 50-30. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Mid-Buchanan is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points over those games. As for Lawson, their victory bumped their record up to 21-6.

Lawson didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mid-Buchanan when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 58-53 win.
