Savannah had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 41-24 victory over the Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks on Friday. This was payback for the Savages, who suffered a 14-12 loss the last time these two teams met.

Savannah found their leader in sophomore Caylor Schrick, who rushed for 221 yards and four scores while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. Schrick also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending three passes in addition to snagging an interception.
