After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cedar Ridge, South Granville was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in August, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-19.

South Granville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaytlyn Dickerson, who had seven digs and five aces. Dickerson is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Kaylee Aiken was another key player, getting 11 digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: South Granville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive matches.

The victory snapped South Granville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-11 record. As for Durham School of the Arts, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
