After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Watauga, St. Stephens was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Enka Jets a 2-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Stephens also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.
The victory got St. Stephens back to even at 1-1. As for Enka, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.
St. Stephens will be playing in front of their home fans against Hickory at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Enka, they will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Erwin at 5:00 p.m. Enka's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
