Softball Recap: Mcgraw Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

McGraw barely beat Brookfield Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles never let the Beavers get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Leah Terwilliger was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Haylee Bassett was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one double.

McGraw has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Brookfield Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McGraw is set to challenge their familiar foe Stockbridge Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brookfield Central will square off against rival Cincinnatus Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
