Softball Recap: Lincolnview Snags 13th Victory in Last 14 Games

Lincolnview had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt New Bremen on Thursday. The Lancers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won 16 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Lincolnview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for New Bremen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Coming up, Lincolnview will face off against Ada at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lancers 2.3, the Bulldogs 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. New Bremen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
