Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sophie Wade and Rosie May Lead Crossroads Christian to Victory

Crossroads Christian won the last time they faced New Garden Friends and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Colts were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bears.

While Crossroads Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-16.

Leading Crossroads Christian to victory were Rosie May and Sophie Wade. May had 31 assists and four aces, while Wade had 13 digs and three aces. That's the most assists May has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: Crossroads Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 4-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Crossroads Christian's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 4-4. As for New Garden Friends, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Coming up, Crossroads Christian will challenge St. Thomas More Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Garden Friends, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Bradford Academy on the 26th.
