Basketball Recap: Lake Clifton Comes Up Short

Lake Clifton was the 61-59 winner over Overlea when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Lake Clifton Lakers fell to the Overlea Falcons 62-57. While losing is never fun, the Lakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Falcons are ranked 46th).

Lake Clifton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Overlea, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

Coming up, Lake Clifton is taking a road trip to square off against Southwestern at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Overlea, they will be playing at home against Milford Mill Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
