Soccer Recap: Hoover Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Hoover lost to Auburn back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Hoover Buccaneers put the hurt on the Auburn Tigers with a sharp 4-0 win. Fans of the Buccaneers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

They hit Auburn with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Patrick Anderson (2), Henry Patterson, and Reeves Knox.

The victory was the third in a row for Hoover, bringing their record for this year to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Auburn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Hoover will take on Stanhope Elmore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Auburn, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Auburn take on the Smiths Station at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
