Volleyball Recap: West Jordan Beats Kearns for Their Fifth Straight Victory

West Jordan had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Kearns Cougars. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The final score came out to 25-22, 26-28, 25-13, 25-10.

Malia Lapale paced West Jordan's offense, picking up 21 kills. Lapale got some help from Jardine Faasipa and her 48 assists. Lapale also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Tatiana Cortes, racking up four apiece.

West Jordan's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Kearns, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.
