Baseball Recap: Grosse Pointe South Comes Up Short

Grosse Pointe South was the 8-7 winner over University Liggett when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Knights by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Grosse Pointe South saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dane Lezotte, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Grosse Pointe South's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 30-7. As for University Liggett, their win bumped their record up to 17-12-2.

As of now, neither Grosse Pointe South nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
