Volleyball Game Preview: San Dieguito Academy Mustangs vs. Sage Creek Bobcats

The San Dieguito Academy Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Sage Creek Bobcats at 6:11 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

San Dieguito Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Torrey Pines on Saturday. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Falcons.

San Dieguito Academy's defeat came about despite a quality game from Noah Ansaldo, who had 14 digs and one assist. Ansaldo is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, Sage Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Canyon Crest Academy on Friday and fell 3-2. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sage Creek started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-27, 25-18, 25-14, 15-12.

Sage Creek's loss dropped their record down to 15-19. As for San Dieguito Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-14.

San Dieguito Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Sage Creek when the teams last played back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
