            Softball Preview: Summit Spartans vs. Centennial Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Summit is  a perfect 10-0 against Centennial since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Spartans will face off against the Cougars at 5:00  p.m. Summit will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
Summit is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They blew past Page 16-10 on Tuesday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six  runs or more this season.

 Audrey Cathey was  incredible,  firing off four  doubles, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 4-for-4. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Saniya Hunter was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Cathey wasn't the only one making solid contact: Summit  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 19  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat. They took  a  9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin.
 Summit is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.
 Everything went Summit's way against Centennial in their previous meeting  back in March, as Summit made off with  a  14-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
