Baseball Recap: Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian was the 12-6 winner over Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Braves fell 9-6 to the Cadets on Friday. The loss put an end to the Braves' undefeated start to the season.

Parker Bennett put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bennett was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Max Warner and Kyler Wood stepped up to the plate in a big way. Warner scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Wood scored a run while going 2-for-4. Jacob Jackson was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian will look to defend their home field on Saturday against St. Joseph at 12:00 p.m. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they are taking a road trip to take on Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
