Basketball Game Preview: Lawton Blue Devils vs. Allegan Tigers

The Lawton Blue Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Allegan Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Lawton turned things around against Constantine on Friday. They blew past the Falcons, posting a 60-24 victory. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for the Blue Devils this season.

Meanwhile, Allegan hadn't done well against Watervliet recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Allegan managed a 56-51 win over Watervliet.

Allegan's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Lawton, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-7.

Lawton and Allegan were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but Lawton came up empty-handed after a 48-47 defeat. Can Lawton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
