Football Recap: St. Joseph Skates Past Middle Township with Ease

St. Joseph had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 41-point drubbing they dealt Middle Township on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Panthers, posting a 41-0 victory. The matchup marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season.

Anthony Salamone was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 304 yards and five TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

The victory was the fourth in a row for St. Joseph, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points on average over those games. As for Middle Township, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
