Volleyball Recap: Chicago Mathematics & Science Starts Season with Loss at Home

Chicago Mathematics & Science unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Kelvyn Park Panthers on Wednesday. Chicago Mathematics & Science was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kelvyn Park apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Chicago Mathematics & Science couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Kelvyn Park a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 30-28.

The victory (which was Kelvyn Park's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chicago Mathematics & Science will challenge rival Clemente at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kelvyn Park is set to square off against their familiar foe Foreman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
