Baseball Recap: Lake Washington Comes Up Short

After flying high against Woodinville on Thursday, Lake Washington came back down to earth. The Kangaroos took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Creek Jaguars on Saturday. The Kangaroos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Lake Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for North Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Lake Washington and North Creek are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Kangaroos will challenge Bothell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Lake Washington's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Creek, they will host Issaquah at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight.
