Baseball Recap: St. Mary's Has No Trouble Against Lincoln

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Corona, St. Mary was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Lincoln Trojans 7-1. Considering the Rams have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Mary's got a great performance from Giani Camacho as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those six strikeouts gave Camacho a new career-high.

At the plate, Dax Hardcastle was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Kobrin, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

St. Mary's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.

St. Mary's will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
