Football Recap: Manatee Comes Up Short

Manatee was the 35-7 winner over Palmetto when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hurricanes took a 31-13 bruising from the Tigers on Friday. While the Hurricanes didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 7-3 in the first quarter.

Although Manatee took the loss, they still got scores from Caedon White and Elijah Christian.

Manatee's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Palmetto, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Manatee will welcome Braden River at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmetto, they will head out on the road to challenge Lennard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tigers 14, the Longhorns 4.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
