Basketball Recap: Atoka Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Atoka can now relate to. They took a blow against the Anadarko Warriors on Thursday, falling 68-34. While losing is never fun, the Wampus Cats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Warriors are ranked 45th).

Atoka's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-13. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.7 points. As for Anadarko, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.

Atoka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-39 win against Marlow on the 28th. Anadarko does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
