Recap: Rahway Indians vs. Ramapo Raiders
The Rahway Indians''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of Ramapo. While losing is never fun, Rahway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 170th, while Ramapo is ranked 11th).
Despite the loss, Rahway still got an impressive performance from Trevor Delapara, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Delapara was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards.
It was another big night for Landon De prima, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 218 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. Zach Schnorrbusch also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Rahway's defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.8 points per game. As for Ramapo, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Rahway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ramapo will take on Morris Knolls at TBD on Friday.
