Livermore came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the San Marin Mustangs 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cowboys have posted since March 8th.

Caleb Ragan looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tanner Bingham was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Nico Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Livermore hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.

Livermore pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for San Marin, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

Coming up, Livermore will take on Foothill in a tournament on Saturday. As for San Marin, they will take on Berean Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
