Softball Recap: Barneveld Has No Trouble Against River Ridge

Barneveld won the last time they faced River Ridge and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Timberwolves. Considering the Eagles have won three matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Barneveld and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for River Ridge, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barneveld will venture away from home to face off against Potosi/Cassville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Barneveld is facing Potosi/Cassville at the right time seeing as Potosi/Cassville is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for River Ridge, they will head out on the road to square off against Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Timberwolves will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Cardinals will have lost four straight heading into Tuesday's game.
