Basketball Recap: Spartanburg Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Spartanburg Christian Academy lost against Boiling Springs back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors took a 39-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boiling Springs Bulldogs. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Makenzie Kinard was nothing short of spectacular for Boiling Springs: she posted 19 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Kinard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Karina Tsisun, who had six points in addition to nine boards and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Spartanburg Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for Boiling Springs, they moved to 3-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Spartanburg Christian Academy will be taking part in a tournament against High Point Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Boiling Springs and Woodruff will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodruff is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.
