Softball Recap: Hall Red Devils vs. Jacksonville Crimsons

Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jacksonville Crimsons.

Brynn Blair spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and eight unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Ava Delphi made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Hall's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jacksonville, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Hall has already played their next match, an 11-1 defeat against Altamont on the 21st. As for Jacksonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-1 win against East St. Louis on the 24th.
