Softball Recap: Juniata Valley Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Juniata Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.

Juniata Valley's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lexey Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Kelsey Ersek was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Juniata Valley's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Moshannon Valley, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

As of now, neither Juniata Valley nor the Black Knights/Damsels have any future games scheduled.
